Why it exists

ATM Atlas grew out of two decades of hands-on ATM operations, based in Atlanta, Georgia. Expanding beyond familiar territory revealed a practical problem: finding dependable local help often depended on knowing someone who knew someone else.

The directory gives that search a clearer starting point. Store owners can discover ATM service providers, operators can find colleagues in other markets, and independent technicians can make their capabilities visible. Contact details are open, so the people doing the work can discuss the location, scope and price directly.

How it works

• Free to search. Anyone can search and see contact details without an account.
• Free to list. Providers create and maintain a profile at no cost. Providers charge for their own services.
• No middleman. No commission, bidding, lead fees, contact unlocks or required inbox. You call, email or visit the provider's website and make your own arrangements.
• Coverage, not just address. Providers list where they offer each service. A provider based in Atlanta who installs within 100 miles appears for a search in Snellville—shown as "based in Atlanta", never as a Snellville office.
• Honest labels. New profiles are public right away and marked Unverified until ATM Atlas reviews them. How verification works.

How results are ordered

Only providers whose area for the requested service covers the place you searched are shown. Among those:

1. Providers not marked "temporarily unavailable" come first.
2. Providers covering the place with a local area (a radius, city or county) come before those listing only statewide or nationwide coverage.
3. Listings confirmed or published in the last 180 days come before older ones.
4. Then closer provider bases (in 5-mile bands), then the earliest-published listing.

The first result isn't "the best". Advertising never changes this order, and optional extras like photos or long descriptions don't move anyone up or down.

Ownership disclosure

ATMPlacements.com, which offers ATM placement, is under common ownership with ATM Atlas. Its listing is the directory's one temporary nationwide exception, limited to ATM placement, and its Verified badge was authorized by the owner during the directory's buildout without the standard verification checks; its profile says so. Every other provider goes through the normal verification process, and the order of results never depends on ownership or advertising.

Coverage today

Search works for any city or ZIP code in the contiguous 48 states and Washington, DC. Alaska, Hawaii and U.S. territories aren't covered yet. ATM Atlas is new, so many areas don't have listed providers yet—results are never padded with unrelated listings.

Place names, ZIP codes and coordinates come from GeoNames, licensed under CC BY 4.0. A city or ZIP search uses one representative point for the place.
